The Senate race in District 3 is tightening up with all of the current candidates being the presumptive nominee from their parties. Without delay let’s get started.
About District 3
District 3 contains a wide range of party affiliations. Democrats, Republicans, Socialists, Libertarians and Independents all live among each other. Let’s get to the stats: District Electorate
30.1% identify as Republican
20.5% identify as a Socialist
17.8% identify as Democrat
17.8% also identify as a Independent
13.7% identify as a Libertarian
District 3 is home of the most republicans in the nation, accounting for 30% of the district (as you see above). The Socialists within the district hold 20.5%, also a good stronghold for the Socialist Party.
The Candidates
Starting off with, Socialist Party Whip Benjamin Mitchell. Whip Mitchell is from the great state of Wisconsin, vying for the open seat for D3 Senate. He is fighting for better Healthcare and Education, expanding and protecting LGBTQ+ Rights, Affordable and Quality Education and more. Whip Mitchell is a Socialist hopeful, who is trying to win a extra seat for his party.
Ending off with, Representative Charles Lee. Mr. Lee is from the State of South Carolina, running on the Democratic side. He supports pro-life policies, Pro-2nd Amendment but with background checks for all individuals, and Pro-Climate Change Prevention policies. You can learn more when his official Senate platform is out.
So, What’s Next?
District 3 is very conservative, accounting for 30% of the electorate. Republicans can back Representative Lee on this one for his Pro-Life policy stance but is it enough to overcome the Democratic-Socialist coalition in the district? Only time will tell. Will Mitchell win? or will Lee win? I’ll leave that to the voters.
The choice is yours, remember to vote! 🗳
