Last Night (10/21/20) Deputy Whip Abdullah joined me on a special, and private interview in the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Deputy Whip revealed a lot of things that he would probably do next.
TRANSCRIPT
Alec: Welcome Abdullah to the National Constitution Center, In Philadelphia
Abdullah: Great to be here in the home of the constitution, alerting the American people about every move I make will be my main priority. smiles
Alec: smiles. Good good. Now let’s get started. Earlier today I hinted to the public that you will speak about your next steps in the political scene. What do you plan to run for next?
Abdullah: For those who may not be aware, I am running a active campaign for a post on the LNC. If you would like to know more about my run, I will lay out a platform here. I have also entertained the idea of me running a senate campaign. I will have to look into that in the future Alec.
Alec: Interesting, now you have been with the GOP not so long ago. Why did you switch your political party.
Abdullah: I had been formally upset with how the party had set up its leadership, with no balance of power whatsoever. There are people juggling 4 or 3 positions at the same time, that are meant to be exclusive. Also considering the fact that I believed we needed some new change around in the LP.
Alec:
Very well then, we have a question here in the audience and her name is Amy.
Amy?
Amy: Good Evening Deputy Whip, as stated by Mr. Lightwood you hav switched parties from the GOP to the LP. If you choose to run for Senate, you will lock in another seat for the Libertarians. Do you find Senator Romerio a challenge if you run?
Abdullah: I hold the belief that I must build up more experience and qualifications before jumping into quite the challenging competition between me and Mr. Romerio. This is the main reason I have been running for various positions, LNC, constitutional caucus leadership e.t.c
Alec: Abdullah what are you advocating for, now that your have joined the Libertarian Party
Abdullah: I am advocating for life and liberty in the libertarian party, when it comes to the death penalty, minimum prison sentences and abortion and many other key issues. I am also fighting for transparency and balance of power in leadership.
I then asked him:
Alec: If you were to run what would give you the it factor. In terms of what makes you stand out in the field
Abdullah: I have served as the president of the largest political action committee and union. I know how to gather people together and unite this country. As for experience is concerned I have served many positions in congressional leadership, and I’m looking forward to serving in party roles as well.
Alec: Very well then. As you may know the Libertarians in the senate have the majority. If you were to run and win, you’d be the first constitutionalist senator in the Senate on the Libertarian side. How would you feel?
Abdullah: I would feel proud that I have gathered a coalition of constitutionalist libertarians, moderate republicans to elect me to the United States Senate. I will be working closely with my collegues down the aisle to further follow the message of liberty and justice for all.
Alec: Let’s move on from the Senate topic. Other than a possible Senate run do your plan to run for something else like LPNC Chair, Speaker to even President ?
Abdullah: Very far fetched “what if” question Alec laughs, but I have not put any realistic thought into running on a presidential ticket. I would respect any offer for a VP slot although.
Alec: laughs Alright Abdullah. Describe yourself, who you are, and what you support for the closing statement.
Abdullah: I am a man of principle and public service, by no means I shall break my own rules. I support being respectful and caring to the citizens living in this country, instead of treating them like ants. I believe in a America that works for everyone. I enjoy doing more segments like this to educate the American people on my actual policy. Good Night Alec and Good Night America!
Interview Ends
The Deputy Whip has given us an insight into his next steps in the political world. He hinted at a possible Senate run, in District 1, where he is from. If he were to run against the incumbent Senator Romerio, from the Socialist Party, Abdullah, would lock in another seat for the Right Caucus and the Libertarians. There is already one Libertarian seat from District 1, is it possible that he can lock the district for the Libertarian Party?
Well have to wait and see, next month. Stay tuned for more.
